Oh, neat.
Sunday. 5.6.07 2:58 pm
This will probably offend some people, seeing as how there aren't a lot of Christians on nuTang these days...

I was thinking about stereotypes. Like, trying to figure out where I fit. When you really think about it, I have traits from pretty much every possible group one can be grouped into. Except racial groups, because, well, I'm pretty white. Pale, too.

In reality, Sean was calling me emo because of a song that I listen to, but it all came down to the same thing. I had an epiphany.

I'm a Christian. I never thought about it until today, but...it's kind of it's own group. I mean, I'm pretty positive that other religions, like Buddhism stick out in society, but it's still kind of cool.

I finally found my group. Now I need to define it, make traits, and poke fun at emo kids. HA!

Not really.

Hm.
It depends on how you define Christians. I'm a Christian, but I don't go to church, so do I remain in the group? It seems like Christians who actually go to church are the ones truly counted in the category, since they're the ones in the community, displaying their religion.

I'm not religious so when people talk about religion it does nothing to me. Unless that person is trying to force their religion on me. Then I tend to get annoyed. That's cool though, that you support a religion

I made a favicon... If you'd entered the favicontest... :p The instructions are in that thread there.

You can still enter, there aren't enough entries.

through my experiance the name 'christian' carries a negative conotation within society because of the 'sunday christians' who go to church and claim christianity but never do anything to display that within their everyday life or do things that are quite the opposite.
so i would challenge you to not allow yourself to be defined by that since you are obviously not a cliche christian (at least you don't seem to be) it's all about having a personal relationship with God, call yourself something else (i do not suggest jesus freak lol) but something just as purposful and redefine the way that people around you perceive christianity and God.

I am not sure what you mean by agree. I think that there are a lot of christians out there. I am LDS or mormon. Contrary to popular belief, mormons ARE christians. Most people that join the church were just like you.... believing in christ and wondering where they fit in. They have traits already established however making fun of emo kids is not one of them. DARN! ha ha.... just kidding
