Love Addict

Remember the Kountry Gentleman video? Same guys. Same band. These guys blow my mind.

Finally back home, for a while. Apparently I'm going to the beach again on Saturday. Gah.

Oh dear; I just realized that I got up around 10 and haven't eaten yet. I gotta go do that.

Thanks, you guys, for reading and responding while I was gone. I'm sorry that I'm kind of an antisocial bomb right now. School in a month probably won't help much.

Eating time. Later, guys.

Hmm. I just woke up at 2:20 and haven't had breakfast. I'm thinking it's slightly too late for breakfast; although, I could just push back meal times by 2 hours and eat lunch at 4 and dinner at 9.

I apologize for not placing my response to your comment as a comment to this blog but after consideration I feel I'd reply with a blog of my own out of the sheer length of my response and I'd prefer it to be easier to find. Hope you don't find my actions to be rather selfish and cold and I hope you will read the blog. Pleased to meet you by the way.

I'd like that video a whole lot more if not for the weird hip-hop/rap thing in the middle they have going on.

Good.
:3

I do like the band a lot, ever since you posted the first song.

Ahh Stevie, sorry. I just got off the phone with you, I wasn't trying to be mean. Believe me, I love the facial expressions you make! It made me laugh so much, and Katie. It's great to have that specialness about you to make people laugh, fo show.
And hey, when I talk I use my hand a lot to motion things I do, or did or whatever. So if you'd like you can pick on me about that.

Oh no your comment didn't strike me as rude at all. As for myself, sometimes I'm unaware if I'm too argumentative and come off as cold when I try to make points. But in response to your comment:

With the definitions of "trying on" and "using", I'll try to clarify my own theory. What I see differently is the relation of either concept to the city analogy. I prefer to see "trying on" as letting someone through the gates and seeing what they have to offer. Then I see "using" as more along the lines of accepting that person into the city community allowing any influence through ideas.

I do agree that the people (ideas) that you allow into the city do not immediately harm the city, but instead are able to change you should you "use" them. I'm speaking not of the danger in changing your being, but the process at which one changes; how the human canvas attains color. I believe with every stimuli entering the gates of the city, we adapt when we discover whether or not we choose to "use" the ideas of the particular stimulus. This adaptation is change when we wish to "use" the ideas; when we choose to remove the stimulus or person from the city it is building a resistance to such stimuli. Such is the filter system that I believe is in place. As for a scenario to exemplify this theory, imagine career choices: there are multiple possibilities and choices but you consider your choices and in doing so "try them on" and let them into the city. When you finally decide and even research a bit, you "use" the idea and allow it influence on your behavior. There are multiple ways to make such a decision, the one I have in mind is by finding justifications not to choose a option. These justifications are necessary to form the resistance that I mentioned before towards one a certain idea so that one dismisses the career without moving into the consideration phase.

As for your final point, yes it's quite possible that once a person or idea has already been inside the city it can be as dangerous as a cancerous cell. I hope you don't think I still believe in having the city gates open to all, there are exceptions. It doesn't take trial and error to know that excessive smoking can cause cancer, such is the case with the resistances on what the gates choose to let in even before consideration and after that utilization.

Although I've avoided truly "countering" (in a neutral, conversational way) your response I believe it is necessary to clarify the highlights of our theories. I'm glad you approached "harm" the way you did as I realize that it was not the correct choice of words to display my theory. Ideas aren't necessarily harmful but unfavorable.

Family Force 5?! I love them! Hm, my favorites are probably.. I love you to death, Numb, Earthquake, Love Addict, and.. I think that's it. Though I do like a bunch of others, ie, Drama queen, lose yourself, etc.

They're fun when you're in that kind of mood.

Have fun at the beach. Don't drown.

Heh, quite understandable to be "done" with "this." I'm at the same point you are with losing patience so no worries. Glad we could.. how should I put this.. share thoughts I suppose, Hah.
